Annual General Meeting 2020!
To all Lakehill Baseball and Softball Association Members:
Save the date November 24 at 7:00 PM for the Lakehill Ball Annual General Meeting! This year’s meeting will be held via Zoom call, due to restrictions on in-person gatherings as a result of Covid 19. Everyone who registered a player in 2020 is considered a member of the Association, even though the spring season for baseball didn’t go ahead, and softball shifted to summer. All members who attend will be entered into a draw for one of two free player registrations for the 2021 season and additional door prizes! Pre-register for the AGM and get your name in for these draws by emailing info@lakehillball.com. Zoom meeting information and calendar invite will be provided upon registration.
During the meeting we’ll talk about activities we were able to undertake in 2020 and discuss what 2021 may look like for baseball and softball as well as select new members to the board of directors – see list of positions here and below. Many of our board positions were filled by parents whose children are graduating from the park, so now is your chance to step up and help out!
The board operates as a team and works together to run the organization. You don’t necessarily need any baseball or softball knowledge to be part of the team. We meet once per month, and the work is shared between all members. Any contribution of your time, big or small, is welcomed. Note that this year – we will offer one free player registration per parent on the Board. If you’d like to nominate someone (or yourself!) prior to the meeting, please email info@lakehillball.com Nominations from the floor on the day of the meeting are also accepted. Lakehill Baseball and Softball has a long history in the community and is currently in a very solid financial position. In order to continue the great baseball and softball programs that Lakehill has offered for over 60 years, we need a few more people to join the team of board members. Let’s work together to make the coming year at Lakehill an amazing one for all our children! Together we can knock it out of the park!
